Welcome to heal360 Physioclinic!
We understand you might have some questions when considering physiotherapy. Here’s a breakdown to help you understand our services and how we can help you achieve your health goals.
Charges Per Session
Our standard physiotherapy rate is $180 before GST, in line with industry rates across the private physiotherapy sector in Singapore. If you prefer to see a Principal Physiotherapist with more years of experience, there is a top-up of just $60.
These rates are maintained to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivered by fully qualified and experienced physiotherapists.
Physiotherapy session charges in Singapore generally range from S$180 to S$250 per session at most private clinics.
- Initial Consultation: The first session often involves a thorough assessment and may be slightly longer.
- Follow-up Sessions: Subsequent sessions focus on treatment and progression of your plan.
- Packages: We may offer packages for multiple sessions, which can sometimes provide a cost-saving benefit. Please inquire with our front desk for our current pricing and any package deals available.
We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden costs. Our goal is to provide high-quality care at a fair value.
How Long Is Each Session?
The duration of a physiotherapy session can vary depending on the complexity of your condition and the treatment plan.
- Initial Session: Typically, your first session will last 45 minutes. This allows our physiotherapist to conduct a comprehensive assessment, discuss your condition in detail, and explain the proposed treatment plan.
- Follow-up Sessions: Subsequent sessions are usually 30 minutes in duration. If you have multiple conditions or a particularly complex case, your therapist may recommend an extended session, which will be discussed with you beforehand.
What’s Involved in Each Session?
Our physiotherapy sessions are tailored to your individual needs, but generally involve a combination of the following:
- Assessment:
- Initial Session: A thorough discussion of your medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle. The physiotherapist will perform a physical examination to identify the root cause of your pain or dysfunction, assessing your movement, strength, and posture.
- Follow-up Sessions: Re-assessment of your progress, discussion of any changes in your symptoms, and adjustment of your treatment plan.
- Treatment: This may include:
- Manual Therapy: Hands-on techniques such as massage, joint mobilization, and manipulation to reduce pain, improve joint movement, and release muscle tension.
- Therapeutic Exercises: Prescribed exercises to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. These are crucial for long-term recovery and preventing re-injury. You will be guided on how to perform these exercises correctly.
- Modalities: Use of equipment like ultrasound, electrotherapy (e.g., TENS), or heat/cold therapy to help with pain relief and tissue healing.
- Education and Advice: Guidance on posture, body mechanics, activity modification, and self-management strategies to empower you to take an active role in your recovery.
- Specialized Techniques: Depending on your condition, this could include dry needling, clinical Pilates, or sports-specific rehabilitation.
Our approach is holistic, considering your overall health and well-being to ensure the most effective and efficient path to recovery.
Is This Expensive?
While the cost of physiotherapy in Singapore can range, we believe it’s an investment in your long-term health and well-being. Consider the potential long-term savings:
- Reduced need for medication: Effective physiotherapy can often reduce reliance on pain medication.
- Avoidance of surgery: In many cases, physiotherapy can help you avoid costly and invasive surgical procedures.
- Improved quality of life: Restoring function and reducing pain allows you to return to daily activities, work, and hobbies, improving your overall quality of life.
- Prevention of future issues: By addressing the root cause and providing you with self-management tools, physiotherapy can help prevent recurring problems.
Many patients find that the benefits of improved mobility, reduced pain, and enhanced function far outweigh the initial investment.
I Don’t Have Insurance, Will This Be Worth It?
For individuals without insurance coverage, investing in physiotherapy can be incredibly worthwhile due to the direct and lasting benefits it provides:
- Direct Path to Recovery: You receive immediate, personalized care focused on resolving your specific issue, rather than delaying treatment and potentially worsening your condition.
- Long-Term Solutions: We don’t just treat symptoms; we empower you with the knowledge and tools to manage and prevent future pain or injury, reducing the need for repeated treatments down the line.
- Increased Function and Independence: Physiotherapy helps you regain lost mobility and strength, allowing you to perform daily activities, work, and engage in hobbies without limitation. This can lead to greater productivity and overall life satisfaction.
- Improved Well-being: Living with pain can significantly impact your mental and emotional health. Physiotherapy can alleviate discomfort, improve sleep, and boost your overall mood and confidence.
- Cost-Effective in the Long Run: As mentioned, preventing surgery, reducing medication use, and avoiding chronic conditions can lead to significant cost savings in the long term, making your upfront investment in physiotherapy truly pay off.
Testimonials from Past Clients
We understand the concern about investing in your health. Here are some stories from clients found it to be money well spent.
KC Lee:
I was referred by a doctor to see Physioclinic to heal a knee injury sustained from being an over-enthusiastic ‘weekend warrior’. My therapist was patient in explaining the anatomy of the knee joint; the damage areas and available alternatives for facilitating repair and rehabilitation. Her physiotherapy and physical exercises were effective in paving the way to recovery and elimination of pain. Physioclinic is a friendly, effective and professional practice.
Nikolai Talanov:
Initially, I decided to visit physio clinic because of severe pain in my upper back after lifting weights in gym, I also experience breathlessness at times and have difficulty in lifting my arms. I thought it was a strain. My therapist, Chloe has helped me to understand the roots of my problems, which is a deviation of my spine causing the muscle imbalance and work on my weak muscles. She’s patient in understanding my condition and explain what is actually happening with my back. I felt more relieved and my breathlessness has completely gone after a few sessions, thank you!
Thiyagarajan Jeganathan:
Physioclinic helped to improve my life and solve my back pain. During my course of treatment at Physioclinic, the therapist JoAnn teach me the exercise for my back and help me to make it walkable and sit. I would recommend Physioclinic to my friend and family because they provided good treatment and is good to do physiotherapy here if you had any injury.
Kate Hia:
Therapist Ann has help me to improve the function of my knee pre and post-surgery. Her attentive care and the treatment programme has helped to relieve pain and anxiety. My therapist Ann often reassured me that with proper physiotherapy and exercises I will recover from my knee injury. I am often encouraged by her. Ann is a dedicated, caring therapist, attentive and has excellent care towards her patient. I am very happy to be under her care.
Mark Wee:
I got into a major skiing accident which left me with both my shoulders dislocated. Upon seeing an orthopaedic surgeon, he said that my left shoulder sustained a huge bankart tear, and my right shoulder 360 degree lateral tear. After he performed a complex surgery that repaired both my shoulders, he referred me to Physioclinic for post operation physiotherapy. Because the accident and surgery were both major, the muscles in my shoulder and back were in a mess. I experienced a lot of muscle tightness and weakness, and my range was extremely limited. My rotation was 0 degrees (I couldn’t even wear my own shirt), and my range was only about 110 degrees. My physiotherapists over a period of 9 months, helped me to recover completely with a range of treatments which included ultrasound therapy, soft tissue massage, electric impulses, and strengthening exercises. I am extremely pleased with their help, because I know of many people who are unable to restore their rotation and range completely after a dislocation. I am extremely grateful that they have restored my muscles and that I am back to normal!
